When Claire returns to her brother’s flat after his sudden death, the rooms seem normal.

But at night, footsteps cross the ceiling of the top floor, and a pale mark begins to bloom through the plaster above where she sleeps.

As she packs what remains of his life, she finds more than grief waiting in the quiet.
